The Authors Academy will offer a virtual workshop for adult writers in summer 2025. The workshop will take place on June 16th, 18th, and 20th from 5:30-7:30 CST. The cost is $125.

This creative writing class is for anyone interested in writing fiction, nonfiction, or poetry. Each session will consist of a craft talk and in-class writing prompts. Sharing work with fellow students will also be an option. You'll leave with ideas for sustaining your writing practice beyond the class. All levels welcome.

Dr. Olivia Clare Friedman will lead the class. She is the author of four books, most recently a book of poems, An Arm Fixed to a Wing, from LSU Press. She is an Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Writers (Creative Writing) at the University of Southern Mississippi.
